Busy Month

I feel like I can finally breathe. In the past 5 weeks we've had girls camp, a family camp out/browning reunion, a pioneer trek, a 24 mile hike, the Anderson family reunion that I hosted, a trip to Utah for a visit with my amazing Twilight friend who's turned out to be so much more than that, our niece Brooke's wedding, and we ended it with a trip to temple square to see Music and the Spoken word. It's been a fulfilling month but I'm glad it's over. I think I'll let the house go a little and take a few naps.

Brooke and James make a very cute couple.

Brooke was SO beautiful. She's so sweet too. What a role model for my girls.

Their family is growing. Kaitlyn you're next (not for a while though, K?)

I love the outside of these older temples. I hadn't been to the Manti temple since I was 13 (for the pageant).

One of the highlights of the trip. My friend Linda, her daughter and I, went to the Breaking Dawn release party. What a blast, the hype was crazy. There were hundreds of people there when we went to get some drinks. When we came back there were thousands, standing in line (about 5 wide) the length of the mall. It was a blast.

Linda is just as cool in person as she is online. She has beautiful skin too. It's true Linda, you do.

Linda's daughter Lindsey getting pale sparkle skin and a vampire bite. They had lot's of things to do, trivia, fashion shows, live music, fortune telling by Alice, face painting, and had even hidden Twilightish items for prizes. I think I got back to the hotel at 1:15am. So worth it.

Linda's very cool home made shirt.

My home made shirt, I can't stand it, Kevin loves it. That's the last time I'll be seen wearing it in public. Yes, these pictures were taken while wearing them. At least we have girlish figures.

Looks like fun. I enjoyed the book...not as much as the first three, but it was still a good read.

Trina,

I found your comment on the Vampire Support Group. I really had a good laugh when I found Jeremy the Great's blog for neglected husbands. I sent my husband the link. But he was apathetic. He doesn't feel that jealous of my fascination with Twilight and Edward. I just tell him, "I love your Edward...er...Tim". He doesn't even get mad anymore.

I loved your vacation story to Utah. I also spent part of July at two family reunions. One in Ogden and the other in Paradise. That's where I discovered Twilight. My family was obsessed with the books. I had vaguely heard of them, but the interest wasn't there.

So on return home to Camarillo, CA I purchased the first 3 books at Target. Read like a fiend. At the end of that week Breaking Dawn came out and I ran to Costco and picked it up and read it in 17 hours straight. Even made it to church on Sunday.

I can't imagine how wonderful it must have been for you to be at the book signing. I'm jealous!

I understand from some Twilight sights that the 4th books wasn't well received. That's awful. I thought it was great and answered all my cravings.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Thanks for your response to my posting of the Evil Iguana Twilight spoof. I can't ever remember laughing so hard. I saw it right before my husband and I had our nightly prayer and I couldn't even stop laughing to pray. It was that bad.

I think I'll be the only 50 year old standing in line on November 21 to be one of the first people to view the Twilight movie. Let's just hope there aren't that many Twilight fans in Camarillo, CA

Love your blog. Keep writing, it's good for the soul.

My best friend is 49 and she'll be there. Pretty much the same age. You'll just be one of those hip ladies that teens say their going to "be just like".
