A few weeks ago we went to the open house for the new Twin Falls temple. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. I was excited to have my children see the whole temple not just the outside or (for the oldest 3) the baptismal area. They were especially impressed with the celestial room. I think it was mainly the chandelier. One of the girls asked if we are allowed to get married in there rather than the sealing room. I wanted to show the kids the mirrors in the sealing room. Kevin and I stood the whole family in front of one of the mirrors and told them to look at our forever family through the reflections of both. Leave it to my boys. They started to 'whisper sing' "Forever is a long long time" from the Star Child Musical. We had to 'whisper laugh' at that. Nothing is serious anymore. (Unless they're in trouble). It's good that the kids can now have a better idea of a wedding day in the temple and being sealed forever. Especially after witnessing a church gym wedding earlier this summer. The kids are just that much closer to an understanding now of how wonderful and beautiful and temple marriage is.
