McKenna's "Singles Ward 2" the movie moment
After church Sunday McKenna came to the car laughing and said she felt like she'd been involved in a Singles Ward 2 movie moment. Remember when the little kid runs into the chapel carrying his diaper? McKenna and Jaide were sitting in the foyer waiting for me to get out of choir practice. Just a few people from the next ward were at the church- mostly those preparing for lessons etc. As the girls were sitting there talking they saw a little boy, about 2 years old, come out of the boys bathroom, pants to his ankles, calling, "Daddy, where are you daddy?" He walked right into the chapel that way. Of course this made my girls giggle. A couple minutes later, after the little guy made his rounds, he came back out, upset that he couldn't find his dad. He went back into the bathroom in tears. McKenna and Jaide didn't know who this little kid was or what his dad looked like so McKenna went into the boys bathroom (after making sure there was an all-clear) to help him. He needed a wipe. McKenna took care of the dirty deed and sent him on his way- much happier.
If you're in the second ward and this was your little guy...he deserves a treat for going potty on his own. You deserve one for teaching dad to to wipe him. And my daughter deserves one for helping out "dad".

This was an adorable post. I can just picture this moment of time. Thanks for the chuckle today, I needed it.
Blessings to you for a great church funny post.
Lol! That is funny- but seriously where was his dad?? I wouldn't let a two-year- old go in a public bathroom, even a church one, by themselves.
Good question, Emmy. No idea. I think church is perhaps safer than many other places but can create a false sense of safety. He was probably in a meeting while his wife prepped for primary or something? I'd have been afraid of leaving my kids alone for reasons of their own safety AND for the safety of the church, lol. My kids would have been playing in the soap, had water all over the bathroom (and not necessarily from the sink) and the t.p. would have been soggy.
