Twilight Obsessed

Those who know me well, are aware that I'm obsessed with the Twilight series. I won't admit how many times I've read it since I started Twilight in October. Let me just say, I have no doubt that I've read more pages since then, than all my life put together - and I really like to read. A few weeks ago I told myself, "No more." Then on our camping trip, my sister in law brought up Twilight (it was meant to happen-every female there 12 and up has read it, and honestly, if she hadn't brought it up I'm sure I would have soon enough.). We were talking about the fourth book, Breaking Dawn, coming out on August 2. Kevin said I should read the series to him again before August 2, so he'll be able to continue right in to the new book. I didn't even hesitate. I was like an alcoholic in a room full of Brandy, no I was like the junkie who'd just been offered her brand of heroin. (Twilight fans know what I'm talking about.) I grabbed my John Grisham book and started furiously reading so that I could start on Twilight again the moment we got in the door. I literally finished my John Grisham only 2 blocks from home. I read Twilight aloud while Kevin unpacked and started on laundry. It was great. I can't even figure out how to feel bad about it. I got to read while my husband happily did all the icky work. We finished Twilight and the first two chapters of New Moon before he left on a pioneer trek with my three oldest kids. I wonder if he'll want to start right in when he gets back tomorrow night? I'm betting he'll want to unwind while I read to him. Or maybe, I'll read while he shaves off that goatee he grew for the trek. Positive thinking. I do think there's hope for me, after the book release, then after the movie comes out in December, when there is nothing else Twilight to look forward to I think I'll reach closure with much less difficulty.

I had to remove my Twilight video bar. I was quite annoyed by the weird chick that kept popping up. I'm obsessed but I'm not the screaming, teenage girl type who can't control her own slobber. I get enough of that when the boys girl "friends" hangout.
