Browning Family Newsletter
We’d like to introduce you to an overlooked family member. I realize that “Nobody” is a strange name but our children decided on this name together and Kevin and I were outvoted 5-to-2. Nobody didn’t just move in one day, ours was a gradual initiation. Nobody’s presence has been strong with us this year though.
What a busy kid! Let me tell you a little about Nobody’s activities this year. Nobody turned on the outside faucet full blast last February and left it on for an estimated 4 days before I found it running. Both us and our neighbor got an early start on watering…on us. Thanks Nobody.
Nobody flipped mashed potatoes on not only the kitchen ceiling but also the bathroom. I had no idea that potatoes are so difficult to get off once dried. Nobody will do that again, I’m sure.
Nobody pee’s on our toilet seat on a regular basis. Every one else seems to have a problem with it. Nobody has personally admitted it and Nobody seems to want to change this behavior. (I wonder how wrong it is to put a nanny cam in the bathroom-just in case Nobody has a relapse?)
Nobody spilled honey all over the carpet and then Nobody helped me with clean up. That was one sweet mess.
Nobody put a crack in the LCD on the microwave. Since it no longer works the rest of the kids are enjoying living like they did in the “olden days“-heating everything up with the oven or stove. (What to do with all that microwave popcorn. Lol)
At times Nobody, spilled on the floor and forgot to clean it up, dumped a new bottle of shampoo down the drain, decorated the bathroom with shaving cream and failed to wash hands after lunch making it evident to everyone walking up and down the stairs that PB&J had been on the menu.
As I was thinking about Nobody last night I remembered that we each have two sides. One side is easier to see sometimes than the other, shame on me. For instance, Nobody has done my dishes (on quite a few occasions), left a nice little note about what a great mom I am, picked up clutter and vacuumed. I know there are many other great things Nobody has done that I regretfully overlook. Something I’ll need to work on.
Kevin and I feel very lucky to have this Nobody in our lives, we are learning the arts of patience, tolerance, discernment, optimism, and even investigative work . We also understand that as time goes on and our kids grow and mature, Nobody will start to disappear. It will be a sign of change, and that our kids are no longer kids. We’ll actually be a little sad to see that happen, okay … I will. Kevin’s looking quite forward to it. A little temperance on Nobody’s part would be welcomed. Until we get to that point we have something great going for us- Nobody understands how strong Kevin and I are. Yeah baby! Bring it on…Well actually, don’t…Please.
We should probably also let you know that we are doing great. Trevin and Kalten will be in the school musical Guys and Dolls this February, Neicia is kicking booty on the basketball court, McKenna is loving choir and her best friend Cally, and Jessica (Jaide) is getting funnier everyday. We are happy, healthy, and very blessed with family, and the love of our Heavenly Father. What more could we ask for? We hope that our letter finds you doing terrific. Know that we love you and are grateful for the blessings you are to us. May our Father in Heaven's Blessings be abundant in your lives, and may you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Kevin, Trina, Trevin, Kalten, Neicia, McKenna, and Jessica (and Nobody)

Trina that is hillarious!
Are you sure that Nobody has not often frequented my house.
You are definitely the funny sister aren't you? Maybe it's genetic- you know, this NOBODY thing, because I gave birth to one too and he is still peeing on the toilet seat.
I love oyu and miss you already!
There's nothing better than a busy mom with a sense of humor! Thanks for making me laugh! Have a Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year. I will look forward to visiting your blog more often. Maybe I'll even get inspired and do one myself someday!
Love, Danielle
That was really creative! I loved it! I am pretty sure that a couple your nobody's have been doing stuff our family on and off thru out this last year. So grateful you have the nobodies in your family! :) we love them!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I am going to Arizona and so excited. Ready, I am not! Have a migrain from the stress of preparing for it.
I really loved how you posted your Christmas Letter! SO CREATIVE!
Love you guys will cal you when we get back.
What a great letter. I prefer it to the brag letters which seem to get used half read due to blah, blah, blah. Nice job!
That's the funniest thing I've ever heard! Although, last time I checked, Baylee lived at my house!:) Well, ya'll are AWESOME!
That nobody sure gets around. I think he's been peeing on our toilet seats too. Actually the funny thing is the boys in our family usually say it was Olivia, which just cracks me up. What a fun letter!
Merry Christmas!!!
Nobody sure gets around. He's a sneaky little guy. Glad that you have one too. :)
that is very funny, it is nice to think of all perspectives of the nobody in the home, although my kids are young we seem to have a nobody and his twin living here. i remember when i was little and mom and dad sat us down and talked to us about nobody and that he needed to move out....i was so freaked out that he lived in my closet or under my bed....lol...kids are fun and i agree that its important to treasure every moment we have with them!
What a great post! Come crash our blog anytime. I will try the wipes and see if that is better! Thanks!
You are so clever!! I love it!! A part of your letter reminded me of a story my mom sent me called "just a mom" so I blogged it. If you wanna read it, I think you would relate!!
Love the letter, and Merry Christmas you sweet caroler you!!!
